Role Overview

The Kiosk Services Representative is the on-site lead for Gather Voices video kiosks at live events. This contractor role combines interviewing, light production, and brand representation in a fast-paced, people-forward setting.

You will guide participants through a quick, comfortable 10–15 minute experience that results in a 30-second to 1.5-minute, social-ready video with contact details and digital rights.

This role is ideal for contractors with backgrounds in media, events, promotions, or performance who are confident engaging strangers and staying calm in high-energy environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Invite participation in a friendly, non-pushy, consent-first manner

  • Build rapport quickly and help participants feel comfortable on camera

  • Conduct short, story-driven interviews aligned with predefined content goals

  • Capture content aligned with 3–5 value buckets (e.g., attendee, exhibitor, member value)

  • Set up and manage the Gather Voices iPad-based video kiosk

  • Ensure proper framing, lighting, and clear audio throughout recordings

  • Monitor recordings in real time to confirm audio quality

  • Serve as a professional, client-facing representative of Gather Voices

  • Provide concise end-of-day client wrap-ups and dashboard notes

  • Participants feel respected, comfortable, and positive about the experience

  • High-quality, usable videos are captured consistently throughout the event

  • Content aligns clearly with client goals and value buckets

  • Clients feel supported and confident in the Gather Voices on-site presence

Ideal Contractor Profile

  • Personable, confident, and comfortable approaching and engaging strangers

  • Skilled at guiding short, unscripted conversations into clear stories

  • Calm, adaptable, and organized in live event settings

  • Comfortable handling rejection without pressure or a hard sell

  • Strong attention to framing, lighting, and audio using an iPad setup

  • Reliable with end-of-day reporting and communication

Relevant backgrounds:
Media, journalism, video production, events, marketing, promotions, or performance

Nice to Have (Not Required):

  • Short-form or social video experience

  • Bilingual or multicultural communication experience
