Learn How to Humanize Recognition

The CODiE Awards, which has been honoring excellence in education and business technology for more than 35 years, typically holds winner announcements  live in San Francisco, bringing people together for a dinner and celebration. But when the celebration went virtual during the Covid-19 pandemic, SIIA knew they needed to do something extra special to keep the virtual community engaged.

How did they do it? We invited Jenny Baranowski, managing director of the CODiE Awards to join Chad Alger-Hardt, VP of marketing at Gather Voices, to talk about how her team created a blueprint for recognition success with user-generated video. They discussed:

  • Ways to use authentic video content from real people to create engagement before, during after the event
  • How they encouraged their community to co-create content with them, generating more than 220 videos in less than 5 weeks
  • Innovative ideas for humanizing recognition in the years to come
