One Month, Many Languages: How JMP Co-Created a Global Awards Ceremony With Its Own Community

Each year, JMP celebrates the people driving its work forward. As a global division of SAS, JMP recognizes employees across many countries, time zones, and languages, and a single production schedule could never reach all of them. The traditional options were expensive, slow, and by definition exclusive. If you couldn't get someone in front of a camera at the right moment, their voice didn't make it in. JMP used Gather Voices to flip that model entirely, inviting its own community to record authentic video on their own time, in their own languages. In just one month, the team built an awards experience that felt personal, inclusive, and alive...without a single external crew.

One month, full slate of content

JMP co-created a complete library of awards videos with its global community in a single month — a fraction of what any traditional production timeline would require. The ceremony was ready on time, without a production agency in sight.

Multilingual by design, accessible to all

Contributors recorded in their native languages, with captions added so every video reached the entire organization. Inclusion was built into the workflow from the start.

Global reach, zero crews

Employees across multiple countries and time zones participated with no travel, no shoot schedules, and no external production team. The voices that made the ceremony real came from everywhere JMP operates.

More Engaging Awards Ceremony Videos in Just 1 Month

The Challenge

  • JMP's awards ceremony is meant to celebrate the people doing exceptional work across the entire organization. The problem: that organization spans many countries, time zones, and languages, and no single production schedule can accommodate everyone. Someone always gets left out.
  • Traditional video production was the obvious solution and the obvious problem. High costs, long timelines, and the logistical complexity of coordinating across global locations made a professionally produced, globally inclusive ceremony effectively impossible within a one-month window.
  • The goal wasn't polished agency footage. What makes an awards ceremony land is authenticity; real colleagues, speaking from real experience, about people they actually work with. That kind of content can't be scripted or produced from the outside in. It has to come from the community itself.
  • The community was busy. Asking employees across multiple continents to carve out time for formal shoots on top of their core work was never a realistic ask. Any solution had to be something people could do on their own schedule, from wherever they were.

The Gather Voices Solution

  • JMP used Gather Voices' remote video collection to invite employees worldwide to record their contributions on their own time, from their own devices. No app to download, no crew to coordinate, no scheduling bottleneck.
  • One-to-many coaching guided every contributor to a high-quality recording without requiring individualized production support. Every submission met the quality bar the ceremony needed, regardless of where in the world it came from.
  • Time limits were set on each submission to keep the live ceremony tight and seamless. Contributors had creative freedom within a defined structure, which made the editorial process manageable at scale.
  • Videos recorded in contributors' native languages were captioned, making every submission accessible to the full organization. What could have been a logistical obstacle became a feature. The ceremony was more multilingual and therefore more representative of JMP's actual workforce than any previous version.

The Strategic Impact

  • JMP delivered a complete, multilingual awards program in one month, faster than any agency timeline, and more inclusive than any previous ceremony. Contributors participated from multiple countries with no travel required and no external crews involved.
  • What changed wasn't just the logistics. By building the ceremony from the community's own voices, JMP turned passive viewers into participants. Employees who recorded a message weren't just watching the ceremony; they were part of it. That shift in ownership changes how an awards experience lands.
  • The captions added to native language submissions meant that every video was accessible to the entire organization, regardless of language. Inclusion was built into the production model, not retrofitted after the fact.

The model JMP proved here doesn't expire with a single event. Remote video collection, one-to-many coaching, time-limited prompts, multilingual captioning; every element of this workflow is reusable. For any moment that calls for real voices at scale, from annual awards to ongoing recognition campaigns, JMP built a blueprint that travels.
