Learn the Foundational Elements of Creating an Equitable Organization

Do you know what the “E” in DEI is really all about? If not, you’re not alone. To create an organization that is truly equitable, you need to understand the disparities faced by some members of your organization and provide relevant support systems that empower them to overcome institutional barriers. This is not a simple task, but it is a critical one.

That’s why we invited DJ Johnson, IOM, CAE, Vice President of Membership and Volunteer Engagement at the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), to join Michael Hoffman, CEO of Gather Voices, for a live, 1-hour conversation on the foundational elements of creating equitable organizations. They’ll discuss:

  • Collecting the data you need to empower meaningful change
  • How to include the communities you’re trying to support in the conversation without relying on them to solve the problems
  • Finding the courage to address these issues and be adaptable to learn and change when you miss the mark
  • How associations can empower their members to create transformational change in their own workplaces and communities
